Radar sensors - Adjustment with the HART handheld
The VEGAPULS radar sensors are HART capable and can be easily adjusted with a HART handheld.
Connection is really simple, because you can either connect the HART handheld to the terminals directly on the sensor or tap into any point on the 4 ... 20 mA output signal cable.

Radar sensors - Operation with a PC
Completely independent of the respective signal output, whether 4...20 mA/HART, Profibus PA or Foundation Fieldbus, the sensors can be adjusted directly at the instrument via PACTware. Sensors with signal output 4...20 mA/HART can also be adjusted via the HART signal on the signal cable.

For adjustment with PACTware, a VEGACONNECT interface adapter as well as device drivers are required for the respective sensor. All currently available VEGA DTMs are compiled as a DTM Collection with the current PACTware version on a CD. It can be obtained from the responsible VEGA agency for a token fee. In addition, this DTM Collection, including PACTware in the basic version, can be downloaded via the Internet free of charge.

Radar sensors - Adjustment with other adjustment programs
PDM
For VEGA Profibus PA sensors, device descriptions as EDD are also available for the adjustment program PDM. The device descriptions are already included in the current versions of PDM. With older versions of PDM they can be downloaded free of charge.
AMS
For VEGA Foundation Fieldbus sensors, device descriptions as DD are also available for the adjustment program AMS™. The device descriptions are already included in the current version of AMS™. With older versions of AMS™ they can be downloaded free of charge.

Radar sensors - Adjustment with the indicating and adjustment module PLICSCOM
The pluggable indicating and adjustment module is used for measurement indication, adjustment and diagnosis of radar sensors. It is equipped with a full dot matrix display as well as four buttons for operation. An integrated backlight can be switched on via the adjustment menu.
The indicating and adjustment module is installed directly in the respective sensor housing or in the external indicating and adjustment unit. All adjustment data of the sensor can also be saved in PLICSCOM - this makes transfer of the adjustment data to other instruments extremely simple.
